Up for sale is this vintage Powerlite BMX Wheel set. The rear wheel has a Black Powerlite Hub laced to a Chrome Rim, 48 spoke rim with 3/8” axle, 16 tooth freewheel. The front wheel has a Black Powerlite Front hub with 3/8” axle, and are 48 Spoke l. The tires are Diamondback Kontact 20” x 1.95 size.
The chrome has some light bubbling or pitting if you will but nothing that affects the functionality of the wheels. (See Pics) I have tried to capture the worst of it in the pictures provided.
I’m not sure what rim the factory used in this wheel set but it sure looks like the ARAYA Super 7x rims but since the sticker on the rims has faded it’s really difficult to say for sure. Though I’ve compared these rims to the Set of ARAYA Super 7x rims I have and they look identical. The only difference is the shape of the rim sticker. Please take a look at pictures and judge for yourself.

You can use axle adapters (NOT INCLUDED) to use this wheel set with 14mm dropouts if you so desire.
I purchased this wheel set used about 20 years ago. This wheel set is used. These wheels are from the 90’s and are really hard to come by. I mounted this wheel set on a show bike that was displayed only and never came off the rack.
Would be perfect for anyone looking to restore a old Power Lite BMX bike be it a racing bike or street BMX freestyle bike. These are in really good condition considering there age.
The shipping cost may seem high but the cost of shipping has skyrocketed through the roof these days. I just shipped a guitar body out to Oregon and it cost me $45 to ship. That body weighed much less than this wheel set and the box was way smaller than the box these will ship in, so please don’t ask me why my shipping cost is so high.
